“For rebellion is as the sin of divination, And insubordination is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, He has also rejected you from being king.”” (1 Samuel 15:23, NASB95)

Read – 1 Samuel 28:7–25, NASB95

Thus Saul died with his three sons, his armor bearer, and all his men on that day together.” (1 Samuel 31:6, NASB95)

There are those who have rejected My Word in this matter.  They have been rebellious and stubborn and proud.  Beware, lest you, too, cut yourself off from Me as King Saul did when he consulted the witch of Endor.  Do not let a spirit of idolatry mislead you into sin.  When you make a god of a human being, you lay yourself open to Satan’s trap: he can deceive you through that person’s weakness.  No one is infallible.  Be conformed to My Word, not to other people’s standards or personalities or interpretations of My Word.  Seek the gift of discernment of My Holy Spirit to lead you into all Truth.  Test this in My Word.
