No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.” (1 Corinthians 10:13, NKJV)

The healing for which you have been praying is being delayed because the one who seeks to get well is afraid of the consequences: she will have to take up her responsibilities once more. Pray for her to see this attitude of escapism from reality is really the result of self-pity. Help her to begin to count her many blessings – to dwell on her “good days”, and not the “bad days”. She needs your help to walk by faith through this illness, My daughter. Remember that, but for My Grace, you might be walking in her shoes. Be loving – but do not encourage her self-pity: lead her to fix her mind on My Word, not her symptoms. Be an encourager as you share My Word with her today. Rejoice in My love for her.
